Dr. Mohamed Morsi, Chairman of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) and the presidential candidate of the FJP and the Muslim Brotherhood for the presidency, Saturday morning, met with Ahmed Bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Qattan, Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Egypt.
The meeting discussed the importance of bolstering relations between the two countries, during the coming period, on all levels, especially in the political and economic domains, emphasizing the depth and strength of the long-standing Egyptian-Saudi relations.
For his part, Dr. Morsi affirmed that the relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia can only be at a high level commensurate with the status of two great countries in the region, pointing to the importance of the role of Saudi Arabia in the next phase.
On the development of bi-lateral relations, Al-Qattan asserted that the special Egyptian-Saudi relationship is and will remain a close and cordial relationship.
He pointed that Saudi Investors are determined to continue their investment projects in Egypt and also to increase numbers of Egyptian workers in the Kingdom, in addition to increasing the volume of trade exchange between the two countries from US$800 million under the former regime to more than US$1 billion after the revolution.
