Dr. Morsi After Annan Meeting: Military Pledges to Hand Over Power End of June

Dr. Mohamed Morsi, Chairman of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), stated that the meeting of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) with the political stakeholders, today, resulted in agreement on several points, most important of which are: "Accepting the resignation of the Government of Essam Sharaf, forming a national salvation government, confirming parliamentary elections are to be held on time – next Monday, confirming handover of power to elected civilian authority no later than the first of July 2012, and preparing a draft law to regulate the procedures for presidential elections."
Dr. Morsi and a number of party leaders participated in the meeting with Lieutenant General Sami Annan, Army Chief of Staff.
Dr. Morsi added, in an exclusive statement to "hurryh.com
", that the meeting also resulted in "agreement to withdraw all forces from Tahrir Square, and confining their role to protecting public facilities, including the Ministry of Interior, securing Tahrir Square and other places where demonstrations are held, all over the republic, and safeguarding the right of peaceful assembly, demonstration and protest without disrupting the operation of public facilities."
He continued, saying that: "A joint statement, by SCAF and national and political stakeholders present at the meeting, will be issued, announcing the start of the investigation with all those accused or suspected of killing martyrs, paying compensation to the families of martyrs and the injured, and the release of those arrested in the recent Tahrir Square events."
Dr. Morsi also added that: "It was agreed that all suspects accused of killing revolutionaries will stand trial as soon as possible, the families of martyrs will receive compensation, the injured will receive treatment at the expense of the state, and all demonstrators arrested against the backdrop of Tahrir events will be immediately released."
Meanwhile, Dr. Mohamed Saad Katatni, FJP Secretary-General of, denied reports circulated by the media of FJP support for a government headed by Dr. Mohamed ElBaradei.

, that the opinion of the party in this matter is that the elections will end within a month and a half. It is natural that the government resigns. Then is a government is formed, supported with parliamentary majority.
The meeting was attended by presidential candidates: Amr Moussa and Mohamed Salim Al-Awa, the heads of parties including Dr. Mohamed Morsi, FJP Chairman, Abul-Ela Madi, President of Al-Wassat Party, Mr. Badawi, head of the Wafd Party, Imad Abdul Ghafoor, the leader of Al-Nour, Saeed Kamal, the leader of Al-Jabha prty.
