The Muslim Brotherhood described the Syrian regime as obstinate with its continued aggression, tortures, unjust detentions and massacres against the peaceful protestors and their fellow countrymen and the destruction of mosques. In its weekly statement the MB stated that “It is evident the Syrian regime has no intention in carrying out reforms adopted by the Arab League.”
The statement called on the Arab and Muslim nations to take an active and firm stance against the terrorist regime of Bashar al-Assad in an effort to encourage the international community to follow suit.
MB media spokesman Dr. Mahmoud Ghozlan stressed “The downfall of Syria’s al-Assad and his regime is imminent and he will face the same fate as the Arab dictators before him.” Speaking to Ikhwanweb he added that the continued destruction of mosques and killings is a crime against humanity. He called on the international community to stand united in solidarity with the Syrians until the regime is toppled and al-Assad is ousted.
