Israeli occupation airstrikes on Gaza result in 11 casualties

GAZA, The number of casualties resulting from Israeli occupation airstrikes on different parts of the Gaza Strip rose to 11 people, one of them a resistance commander affiliated with Palestine Eagles Brigades, who survived an assassination attempt by the Israeli occupation. The airstrikes also caused widespread destruction.

The airstrikes started at dawn Thursday targeting a position for the Qassam Brigades at Makkusi to the north west of the southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis destroying the position and causing damage to nearby houses. Six people were injured in the airstrike.

At the same time, the Israeli occupation airforce carried out two airstrikes targeting two agricultural fields to the east of Zaytoun suburb and Johr al-Deek. No casualties were reported.

A Palestinian man who was collecting rubble from destroyed buildings to the north of the northern Gaza Strip city of Beit Lahya was wounded when IOF troops fired at him. A medical services spokesman said that the victim's injuries were not life threatening.

The Israeli occupation attacks culminated in an assassination attempt against a filed commander affiliated with the Palestine Eagles Brigades when an Israeli occupation drone fired at his car in the central Gaza Strip wounding four Palestinians including the targeted commander who escaped with light injuries.
