WEST BANK, -- A number of demonstrations, to protest the attack on the Freedom Flotilla, took place after the Friday prayers in a number of towns and villages in the West Bank, especially those close to the apartheid wall being built by the Israeli occupation.
At least one person was injured in the Nilin protest which takes place every Friday with participation of foreign peace activists.
IOF troops fired teargas canisters and rubber coated steel bullets at participants in the demonstration wounding a young man and causing breathing difficulties to tens of other protesters.
Protestors raised the Palestinian flag alongside the flags of nationalities who participated in the Freedom Flotilla. They also carried a model representing the Mavi Marmara, the ship on which peace activists were murdered by Israeli occupation soldiers.
They also carried photos of the martyrs of Nilin who fell defending their village and land.
