Cairo: A report issued by the Information and Decision Support Center of the Egyptian Cabinet (a government think tank) revealed that 53% of Israelis oppose the removal of all Israeli settlements from Palestinian land even if it leads to the failure of peace efforts between the two sides while only 41% favor removing all settlements from the Palestinian territories.

The report showed that 3.6% of Israelis believe that the chances of establishing a Palestinian state within the next five years are high, compared to polls taken in 9.7% in 2008, and about 40% of Israelis believe that the chances of establishing a Palestinian state within the next five years are very low.

The report asserted that 80% of Israelis did not believe that if the Occupation withdraws from all the territories occupied in 1967, including the Golan Heights, it will ensure the security of future generations in Israel.

The report showed that 71% of the Israelis viewed America as a staunch ally of Israel, while 82% of Palestinians, 70% of Jordanians, and 70% of Egyptians viewed America as playing a negative role in the Middle East region.

The report concluded that 51% of Israelis considered the Obama administration as biased towards the Palestinians while 35% of the Israelis viewed the administration as neutral, as opposed to 4% of Israelis which believe the administration is more biased towards Israel.
