Arrest of 7 MB's in Alexandria simply for conveying warm wishes

Seven members of the Muslim Brotherhood were arrested in the Ramleh district in Alexandria by government securities on Friday evening while they were handing out invitations for the Eid prayer. These invitations are handed out annually at the same location. The attorney general in East Alexandria issued orders for the hearing to be postponed until Sunday, September 13.
The vehicle and loudspeakers in which they were using to extend warm wishes was also impounded and the driver arrested. The group faces charges of "handing out illegal documents advocating the Muslim Brotherhood's ideology" along with the usual allegations in which the movement has become accustomed, including collecting money for the group's activities. An amount of LE400 was also confiscate from one detainees, and the government has accused him of collecting the money for "illicit purposes."
