MB Statement over Aggravating Crisis between Fatah, Hamas

While the Arab and Muslim blood is shed in many places, and every true Arab and Muslim is draped with grief, we hear media war drums with an inter-Palestinian battle of words among brothers in homeland, religion and cause, presaging a civil war between Fatah and Hamas in the occupation-torn Palestine.

We stress on the sanctity of the Palestinian blood, Allah considers it more sacred than the Holy Kaaba; and (if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land – it would be as if he killed all mankind. and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind.); we call on every one trying to ignite a war even through speeches, to be pious to Allah and that all should respect the popular legitimacy, the constitution and law and the current legitimate institutions (the presidency, the Legislative Council and the government).

It is needless to remind you of the Palestinian people’s disastrous situations- as you are more aware of them- which are dating back to dozens of years, including continuous assassinations, invasions, lootings of territories, permanent destruction of houses, institutions and infrastructure, and thousands of prisoners including ministers, MPs, men, women and children, and the Separation Wall, and occupied Jerusalem; after all these disasters that afflict you, how do you launch an inter-Palestinian infighting? And for what?; the current circumstances require from you to close ranks and cooperate to fight the occupation usurpers and seek to establish a national unity government; otherwise, you would definitely carry out the Zionist plans, and destroy your cause with your own hands- God forbid; we call on you by Allah, close relations and the homeland to stop the inter-Palestinian infight and fight only the enemy, and follow the advice of the Messenger (peace be upon him) who said:” don’t become unbelievers and kill each other after my death”.

We call on the Arab and Muslim rulers, the Arab League’s Secretary-General, Organization of the Islamic Conference Secretary-General, and every one concerned to help bring the Palestinian brothers to the table of negotiations to end the sedition and to close ranks (such settlement is best) (And hold fast, all of you together, to the cable of Allah, and do not separate) (O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and the messenger when He calleth you to that which quickeneth you)
