The Islamic Constitutional Movement (ICM) welcomed the newly-formed government and called for firmly applying law and to focus on promoting development and providing services for the Kuwaiti people .

The movement said in a statement it issued:" We welcome the new cabinet-line-up and we congratulate the Prime Minister and ministers on the trust and support of the Amir of the county; the Islamic Constitutional Movement confirms in this respect that the new method adopted by the Prime Minister of expanding consultations and increasing contacts with the parliamentary blocs and political powers is a positive method that leads to an important political stage all of us hope that it continues according to the course of reform and transparency that he started in the former government; the ICM pointed out that this method should be supported by the MPs of National Assembly and civil society institutions .
