The MB gives priority to the parliamentary and political reform. For the independent parliament is the fundamental step for reform process,” El-Eriaan stated to the BBC program of the Topic of the Hour.

El-Eriaan highlighted that the National Democratic Party is the responsible for the political crises and corruption patterns in Egypt. For example, the infringements that are done by some businessmen, who come to the parliament via the NDP, such as vote buying. They, moreover, combine the electoral registers of their firms and companies with the electorates of the NDP candidates’ districts. Therefore, a thorough refinement of electorates is a must.
