The Final Results of the Parliamentary Election

The final official outcome of the first stage of the Egyptian parliamentary election, held on Nov.9th in eight governorates, is revealed. In this election, 1635 candidates, among them 36 women, contested for 164 parliament seats.

According to the official statistics, four of the Moslem Brotherhood candidates have won. Meanwhile, 41 MB candidates will have a re-run in the election repeat, due to be held on Nov.15th. The Moslem Brotherhood has put forward 51 candidates to run for the first phase of the parliamentary election.

 

The Moslem Brotherhood winner candidates are:  el-Mohamady Abdel Maqsod, in Helwan district, no.24, Adel Hamed, in el-Saida Zeinab district, both of them are in Cairo; in addition to Muhammad Shaker el-Deeb, in el-Wassaty district of Bany Soaf governorate, and Saad Hussein, in el-Batoon district of el-Monofiya governorate.

The MB has Got 3 Seats in Cairo and el-Monofya

Three of the Moslem Brotherhood candidates have won in the first phase of the Egyptian parliamentary election, held on Nov, 9th. More MB winners are expected in some districts, in which the results are not announced yet.

 

The winner candidates are

1-     El-Mohamady Abdel Maqsod, in Helwan district, no.24.

2-     Adel Hamed, in el-Saida Zeinab district.

3-     Saad Hussein, in el-Batoon district.

 

Up till now, 24 of the Moslem Brotherhood candidates will stand for   run-off election, both in Cairo and el-Monofya governorates.
