The Egyptian Judges Union Declares Heshmat Winner

In the light of the testimony bore by judge, Noha el-Zainy, the Egyptian Judges Union issued a decisive statement announcing that an investigation has been conducted with the judiciary members who have monitored the voting count process in Bandar Damanhore constituency, during the ongoing Egyptian polls. The inquiry showed that Jamal Heshmat, the Moslem Brotherhood’s nominee led his contestant, the National Democratic Party’s candidate, Mustafa el-Feqy, by a margin of 16.000 votes, unlike the announced result.

Accordingly, the Judges Union informed, in an official account, the justice minister, who is the president of the supreme electoral commission, the president of the Supreme Judiciary Council, and the general persecutor with the authentic outcome of the aforesaid constituency, requesting them either to declare the real result or to hold a reelection. The account cited some grave mishaps and flagrant irregularities.
