An NGO Warns against Bloody Run-offs

Al-Ard Center for Human Right cautioned against likelihood of furious clashes in tomorrow’s run-offs.

In its statement, the center said the bloody occurrences erupted during Thursday’s vote that left one dead and 70 injured in el-Hamoul constituency of Kafr el-Sheikh province were introductory to more violent run-offs.

The report also spotlighted the bodily attacks to which nine monitoring judges were prone in el-Daqhlia and el-Sharqia.

According to the account, 148, parliamentary seats needed to break the ruling National Democratic Party’s dominance over the parliament, is the operative force behind mayhem upsurge. The NDP mobilizes all means to deter opposition from attaining this damned number so it can excise unchanging control over passing NDP-desirable laws.

The center, in addition, anticipated overwhelming voting irregularities which have adverse impact on the country; popular disdain would increase and populace would distrust claims of reform.
