Political detainees in the Tunisian prison of Mirnaqiyah are repeatedly beaten and tortured by the prison administration; Ikhwanweb received a message from a political prisoner, Reda Al-Bokadi, who is currently detained in the Mirnaqiyah prison in Tunisia .

In this message, the political prisoner Reda Al-Bokadi said that someone called  Abdul Hamid Al Duraidi and two others one of them called Samir beat him brutally to the extent that he was about to die but for the medics who rescued him.

Al-Bokadi attributed this act to his demanding the prison manager, Faisal Al Rammani in a message that he is served a special food because he is suffering from several diseases that he developed in prison.

The political prisoner added that his sister was prevented from visiting him last Thursday so as not to see the signs of torture which can still be viewed by all.

Al-Bokadi  pointed out that he is still suffering from many grave injuries, especially in the mouth and jaws .

He demanded all freemen, lawyers, the vice-president and the Justice Minister to "judicially follow-up the beatings that I faced, given that my family has reported the incident to the International Red Cross.

In a related context, reports from Mirnaqiya prison show that another prisoner, Farag Al Gami, has a swollen face, proving that he has been beaten as well.

It is worth mentioning that Tunisia is one of the widest countries regarding violations of human rights and freedoms
