453 of Arrested Brothers Are Released

On Thursday Jun, 19, the Interior Ministry released 453 of the Muslim Brotherhood arrested during the outgoing parliamentary polls; 293 of the notorious Borg al-Arab Prison of Alex besides 160 detained in Cairo.
 
Abdel Monam Abdel Maqsod, a lawyer, termed this procedure ’a positive step that should be followed by others.’ He indicated 100 Brothers are still behind bars of Borg al-Arab Prison in addition to 86 in Cairo detention centers. Abdel Maqsod speculated a successive release of the remaining detainees.
 
On last Monday, families of captures of Borg al-Arab Prison staged a protest before the National Council for Human Rights, unfurling release-demanding banners.
 
Actually, the second and the third rounds of Nov. vote saw a wave of arrest campaigns hitting the Muslim Brotherhood’s members and supporters in order to stamp out the great vote showing of the group. Despite of the government arm-strong tactics, that threw 1300 Brothers in jails, the Brotherhood picked up 88 seats.
