MB Condemns Both Terrorist Threats & Bush’s Statement

In an exclusive statement to Ikhwanweb, MB First Deputy Chairman Dr. Mohamed Habib commented on the alleged terrorists attempts to bomb U.S bound planes, which led to the arrest of several suspects in Britain while the investigators are still trying to find a concrete evidence on the identity of the perpetrators. Dr. Habib said that the Muslim Brotherhood totally denounce any attempts to kill civilians or bombing planes or any other operations which are rejected by Islam and all the Heavenly Religions. However, Dr. Habib lashed out at President Bush’s statement” It is against reality and logic, and therefore we reject and condemn it “he said, adding that terrorism is an international phenomenon which does not belong to a specific religion. Dr. Habib also pointed out that there is also a state terrorism, citing what Israel perpetrates against the Lebanese and Palestinian people, and what the US administration commits against the people in Iraq, Palestine and Lebanon, regarding these crimes as a manifest testimony on the state terrorism. Dr. Habit reiterated that the Muslim Brotherhood has always reaffirmed its condemnation of violence and targeting civilians, “but  if the US persists with its pro crimes policy and its unacceptable acts in the Middle East, it gives way for more hostility and hatred to the West in general and to the US in particular, with this hatred strengthening into acts of violence and encouraging chaos in the region.”
