Egypt Pro-Democracy Coalition Calls New Revolutionary Week

Egypt Pro-Democracy Coalition Calls New Revolutionary Week

From Cairo to Damascus and from Sanaa to Tripoli, the resistance continues against counter-revolutions. Indeed, "no right will be lost, if chased persistently". Victory comes with persistence and patience. No revolution will be defeated, when its men and women are courageous, patriotic and fear no rocket launchers, missiles, repression or executions.

With the start of the new academic year, anti-coup student protest action is back in our universities. We solemnly salute the courageous patriotic students – the soul of the January 2011 Revolution, its strength and its future. They have proved wrong the fantasies of the putschists, who announced that student protests had ended forever. Now, they see them rising once again in powerful revolutionary unity.

Although the honorable patriotic men and women suffer slow death in coup prisons, they do not weaken or give in. They assure us and the whole world that they remain steadfast on the path of the Truth, determined as ever to defeat their enemy.

As the 13th World Day Against the Death Penalty (10 October 2015) approaches, junta judges continue to issue wave upon wave of mass death sentences. Even more death sentences are expected against politicians who committed no crime except demanding freedom, democracy and respect for popular will.

The many cases of slow murder within junta jails, and the many absurd death sentences issued without any guarantees of justice, underline the junta regime’s thirst for blood, and how lightly it regards killing innocent citizens. They also highlight the hypocrisy and double standards of the world’s major powers, who do not realize that their support for the coup regime and their silence regarding the deliberate murders in prisons and regarding the absurd death sentences, contribute in the creation of an environment conducive to violence which will impact them eventually.

The Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance calls for a new revolutionary week under the slogan "Revolution is stronger than executions". Let us prove to the coup regime and the whole world that the patriotic men and women of the Egyptian Revolution, who came out in defense of their rights, the Truth and freedom, are undaunted by these unjust sentences: they sought martyrdom all their lives and considered it their highest aspiration.

With these unjust sentences, Sisi and his gang are executing the whole homeland and the people, in retaliation for the January 25, 2011 Revolution. They should realize that they will succeed in bringing the people to their knees or plundering the country’s wealth, as long as there remain steadfast revolutionaries in Egypt.

For more than two years (sine the July 3 Coup), men and women of the January Revolution have remained steadfast, strong, undefeated. With their determination, steadfastness and fortitude, they open the door for others who want to join them. Revolutionary unity is the road to victory for this Revolution. Liberty squares can accommodate all.

We applaud the resilience of our prisoners in Sisi jails. We do feel their pain and pray for them. We stress that the crimes of jailing, torturing and killing them will not pass without fair retribution.

We call all honorable patriots to take part in efforts to liberate the prisoners, and save them from the murders besieging them in the dark dungeons or on the gallows.

We also call on international organizations and institutions that defend rights and freedoms to act to save these victims from this barbaric regime that does not appreciate or respect people’s right to life or citizens’ dignity.

The Alliance reiterates its condemnation of the Russian invasion of Syria, and renews its support to Syrian revolutionaries.

The Alliance also denounces the support of the coup leader Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi and his gang for the Russian occupiers.

We consider it a crime to be added to the junta’s many crimes that will not escape punishment.

We also applaud the worshippers in Al-Aqsa Mosque who stand steadfast in defense of Muslims’ first Qiblah and third holiest site. And we salute the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their new Intifada (uprising) against aggression.

We salute the brave resistance in Yemen. We further assure them all that our path is one and the same in the face of the enemies of freedom and dignity, against the usurpers of the people’s rights. We also assure that we are confident of the victory of the will of the people ultimately. The will of the people is of God’s will. God will not lay their efforts to waste.

Victory for the Revolution
