PRESS RELEASE: Muslim Brotherhood Reiterates; Group's Positions & Demands Expressed Only in Official Statements
26th November, 2014 Press Release

The Muslim Brotherhood's placards, slogans and chants are concerned with and only call for the overthrow of Egypt’s military junta, restoration of constitutional legitimacy, release of all political detainees, denouncing crimes committed against prisoners of conscience in Egyptian jails, and putting coup commanders and collaborators on trial for all the crimes against humanity that they have committed.

The group's formal position with regard to any matter cannot be judged based on a sign raised by a lone individual or arbitrary chants which violate the group's basic principles and contradict its official stances.

Despite the inhumane and brutal crimes committed against the Muslim Brotherhood, its young men and women and its leadership by the military junta and its paid thugs and militias, the group is committed to its jailed Chairman Mohamed Badie's slogan "Our peacefulness is stronger than  bullets"
