Pro-Democracy National Alliance Launches ‘Revolution Until Victory’ Protest Week
The Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance issued the following statement:

The rising waves of the Revolution rumble and converge, while the reckless junta continue to shoot itself in the foot, and tries desperately to prevent the inevitable end and fair retribution. The people of Egypt have steeled their resolve, determined to continue with legendary steadfastness to trample all the criminal coup’s heinous plots and to kill the traitorous generals’ dreams of stealing a homeland after shedding the blood and taking the lives of Egypt’s most honorable men and women.

Retribution – rather than idle talk – has become a top demand affirmed every day by the revolutionary people of Egypt. The homeland has been dressed in black, sunk in the depths of darkness. Heinous junta hands spilled the blood of some dear one (or more) in almost every family. No-one cares for any of the deceptive stories weaved by the panic-stricken general with every step the revolutionary people take.

The revolutionaries’ determination is conclusive, their vision crystal-clear. No reconciliation and no deal – not after the bloodshed and the usurped rights. No negotiation with the killers, nor with the military traitors. Despite the difficulties, at the end of the road there will be fair and prompt retribution. The honorable people of Egypt, alert and aware, are watching the often dubious, sometimes well-intentioned so-called initiatives. But the people will not accept any new massacre of the homeland and its future.

All the Egyptian people bleed, everyday – victims of the mad military junta and its heinous militias: in prisons and detention centers – by torture and deliberate medical neglect; in the streets and squares – by acts of terror and vindictive murderous intimidation; in hospitals – by frequent extended power outages; on the roads – by neglect and lack of control; and on the borders of the homeland – by absence of security requirements for soldiers and suppression of the people of Sinai; and even in military institutes – without reason, logic or justification.

The martyrs’ voices rise above all the media horns of the generals’ henchmen and their forces of terror and violence. The bloodshed fails every desperate attempt by the junta to cover its tracks, to secure a safe exit for its killers, criminals and corrupt cronies.

The killers were not content with taking the lives of the people, looting and destroying the homeland, selling it off to the Zionists, and Gulf and Western states, but also stole the people’s livelihoods and their children’s livelihoods, too, for generations. They humiliated the poor and needy thousands of times every day, with shortages and high prices for everything including the most basic commodities. They tortured street vendors after taking advantage of their poverty, using some of them as a tool for murder, repression and intimidation.

However, awareness has begun to flow forth in the veins of the poor and the workers, the peasants and ordinary people. The Revolution is now closer – more than ever – to all citizens, who have come to realize that the law of the tank and the gun is the law of the jungle and that the Revolution is the only way to salvation and stability amid the very real internal, regional and international conspiracy against the Arab Spring revolutions and the gains they achieved.

The Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance continues to mobilize all segments of the Egyptian people for escalating peaceful revolutionary action in preparation for the ultimate decisive point – in time and in accordance with its strategic vision.

The National Alliance calls on the people of Egypt to rise up in a new revolutionary week beginning Friday under the slogan "Revolution Until Victory", and exhorts all to rally around the youth’s call for September 9 protests to reject the policies of the thieves to impoverish the people of Egypt. This will also mark the Day of the Farmer, while farmers and peasants suffer tremendous humiliation under military rule.

Let us make September 9 the day of "The Poor’s Protest" – one of the forceful cries of the poor in Egypt, the cries of the oppressed against the murderers and the thieves of the military junta and their cold-blooded cronies.

Let’s all go out and protest on September 9.

The Revolution continues… until victory is won and retribution is achieved.
