Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy Alliance Warns Against Further Injustice, Crimes, Oppression

Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy Alliance Warns Against Further Injustice, Crimes, Oppression

Vowing to continue escalation of non-violent revolutionary action against the heinous coup commanders and collaborators, under the title "Students Fuel the Revolution", the Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance defending democracy in Egypt issued the following statement:

To all Egypt’s loyal revolutionaries, men and women, youths and students…

The rising Revolution is most proud of you, your hard work and your sincere and peaceful endeavors. Words cannot do you justice as you stand steadfast in this unusually biting cold. Your message has hit home, loud and clear, for all those who can hear.

Your persistence is beyond impressive, and your resolve – even under the exceptionally icy winter weather, freezing rain, hail and snow – certainly makes all Egyptians proud. This is what the Alliance has come to expect of you. You lead the Revolution, and the Alliance is solidly behind you. The glory is all yours.

The National Alliance truly values your revolutionary action and your commitment to peaceful defiance, although two more protesters have been killed and many more have been wounded or taken hostage by the junta’s security forces.

The Alliance warns the military coup commanders and collaborators against continued use of violence and terror against non-violent revolutionary activities. The coup is but a temporary development. Everyone should be basing their plans for the future on that simple fact, and avoid getting involved in any more crimes, since everyone will answer to their deeds, very soon.

To all free and patriotic men and women, youths and students…

Persist and persevere in your revolutionary action, under the title "Students Fuel the Revolution" – a tribute to the student movement’s peaceful struggle, a practical show of solidarity with revolutionary escalation activities on the ground, and a fitting response to all the rising revolts in all streets and squares across Egypt.

Let’s chant together: "Whatever the freezing rain, whatever the falling snow, down down with military rule"; and "Despite the cold, despite the snow, Rabaa will stay in our hearts".

God is Great… the Revolution will continue until retribution is dispatched.
