Egypt Pro-Democracy National Alliance Strongly Denounces Warraq Church Incident
The anti-coup coalition of Egyptian parties, groups and movements defending democracy and constitutional legitimacy calls for urgent investigation in an attack outside Warraq Church.
Monday, October 21,2013 19:28

Egypt’s Anti-Coup, Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance condemns the attack on the Church of the Virgin Mary in Warraq, and reaffirms the inviolability and sanctity of places of worship and indeed all state institutions and public and private property.

The Alliance holds the military coup’s Interior Ministry responsible for the incident for its failure to achieve security for Egyptian citizens as a direct result of its illegitimate preoccupation with hunting and persecuting peaceful protesters and unarmed demonstrators and students on university campuses.

The Alliance calls on the security authorities to quickly investigate the incident and uncover the perpetrators.

May God protect Egypt and its people
