Freedom and Justice Party Reaffirms Commitment to Peaceful Protest, Condemns All Violence

In a statement posted on his official page in Facebook, Hussein Ibrahim, Secretary-General of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP, the political wing of the Muslim Brotherhood), condemned the assault Saturday on an Egyptian intelligence facility in one of Egypt’s provinces.

Ibrahim reiterated that the FJP’s position remains as ever – complete denunciation of all attacks on any public or private establishment or property, and rejection of taking up arms in the face of any Egyptian.

Ibrahim further denied recourse to such non-peaceful acts, stressing that "we will continue, along with the masses of the Egyptian people, in our peaceful protest until democratic legitimacy is reinstated. We are certain that the people will inevitably triumph."
