In a statement released earlier on Wednesday, Dr. Mahmoud Hussein, Secretary General of the Muslim Brotherhood, said that the group realizes its historic responsibilities and its duty towards and together with the Egyptian people to show solidarity and support for the nation’s issues; and that it therefore will take part in the events and activities of the “Syria Solidarity” week, in order to help the Syrian people and also to share the burden with Islamist and other patriotic, national groups and movements. These events and activities are as follows:

• Thursday, June 13 at events to be held in the Car Market in Nasr City.

• Friday, June 14 at events to be held in Amr Ibn Al-Aas mosque, where Dr. Yusuf Al-Qaradawi and Sheikh Mohamed Arifi will be giving speeches, God willing.
