Muslim Brotherhood Chairman Badie: Desperate Attempts to Undermine National Unity Will Fail

Dr. Mohamed Badie, Muslim Brotherhood Chairman, offered heartfelt sympathies and solemn condolences to the families of the victims of Khossos in Qaliubiya (north of Cairo), praying for a speedy recovery for the injured.

"This incident is alien to the Egyptian people. It is certainly condemned by all religions and laws, all honorable Egyptians. Evidently, there are desperate attempts to subvert our national unity. They will not succeed, God willing.

"Egypt will rise and prosper, with our concerted efforts, Muslims and Christians. I urge patriotic Egyptians to preserve the blood of both Muslims and Christians, because the blood of Egyptians is precious to all of us."

Dr. Badie stressed the need to renounce violence and abide by the law. He further demanded that competent authorities quickly apprehend and punish the culprits, giving a clear warning to those behind them.
