Katatni, Fahmi: Constituent Assembly Will Represent Full Spectra of Egyptian people
Freedom and Justice MPs are working diligently in cooperation with all other parties in Parliament for selection of balanced Constituent Assembly of the Constitution.

Dr. Saad Katatni, Speaker of the People’s Assembly (PA), reassured public opinion that the Constituent Assembly which will draft Egypt's Constitution will be representative of all political forces and stakeholders as well as all factions of society.

"No faction will be overlooked or excluded; and it will not be based on parliament majority", he said.

During his meeting with Shura Council Speaker Dr. Ahmed Fahmi, Katatni stated that the upper and lower houses of parliament will work to enact a number of laws and regulations consistent with Egypt’s post-revolution conditions.

The PA Speaker expressed optimism, stating that all political parties represented in both houses of Parliament are now working together in cooperation to serve the best interests of post-revolution Egypt and its future.

Moreover, Dr. Fahmi reiterated that the Constituent Assembly will be balanced and comprise members with diverse political and factional affiliations, keeping Egypt's interests and welfare above all else.
