Ghozlan Urges Speedy Reconciliation Between Palestinian Factions Following Prisoners’ Swap

 Dr. Mahmoud Ghozlan, media spokesman for the Muslim Brotherhood (MB), called on the Palestinian factions, Hamas and Fatah, to complete the reconciliation process. “Following the exchange of prisoners between Palestine and Israel, reconciliation between the two should take place”, he said.


 
In a statement to Ikhwanweb, he stressed, “After years of negotiations, Hamas has succeeded in reaching an agreement to free Palestinian prisoners”.


 
"The current national atmosphere is appropriate and encouraging for Palestinian factions to meet and settle national issues allowing the next phase to begin”, he stressed.


 
Meanwhile, Hamas leader, Khaled Mashaal, stated during a press conference in Cairo, Tuesday evening, “The success of the negotiations and the prisoner swap has created hope for true reconciliation between Hamas and Palestinian Authority" He confirmed that an invitation had been forwarded to Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas to engage in discussions for the reconciliation in Cairo.
