FJP Urges Businessmen to Invest in Egypt’s Promising Tourism Industry

FJP Urges Businessmen to Invest in Egypt’s Promising Tourism Industry

Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) Vice Chairman, Dr. Essam El-Erian, met with Egyptian and foreign investors Monday to explain the party’s political and economic agenda and its vision concerning the country’s transitional period.

El-Erian stated that the party was committed to forming a democratic alliance with all political factions who were effective during the January 25 Revolution. “We welcome coordinating with all factions who contributed to the revolution’s success however we are not open to cooperating with remnants from the former regime’s dissolved ruling party or newly established parties made up of these individuals,” he stated.

He stressed it was imperative that politically correct regulations be set to achieve democracy and combat corruption in the state’s ministries. “Rules and restrictions will enhance stability in the country and safety for its people as justice will prevail. Reform in the educational system is also significant. By raising the minimum wage rate, the economy will flourish and unemployment will end by encouraging both Arab and foreign investment in the country, ” he asserted.

El-Erian called on the investors to work on developing the tourism industry hoping to double the figure of visitors to the country and in turn improve Egypt’s economy. “The FJP supports tourism and hopes that next season Egypt can improve its income following this season’s loss,” he said.
