Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) Chairman, Dr. Mohamed Morsy, met with SCAF and government officials Thursday, in a closed meeting to discuss Egypt’s response to the Israeli border attack last week.

During the meeting, Morsy called for the immediate investigation of the unprovoked Israeli attack, which left three Egyptian policemen and officers dead and five more injured. He also demanded an official apology from the Israelis and a speedy transparent investigation .

Morsy acknowledged the SCAF’s attempts to meet with all forces stressing “Now is the time to listen to the will of the people and their representatives. The Israeli assault should not pass unanswered. A serious, swift and resolute response is imperative. The whole world must understand that Egypt is no longer the same after the Revolution”.

Morsy also demanded the Camp David Accord be revised. describing the attack in Sinai which is not the first of its kind as a breach in the agreement. “The Egyptians,” he said "will no longer tolerate the passiveness of authorities nor will they tolerate any assaults or threats of aggression against them”.

“What Israeli forces did is a clear violation of the Camp David Accords”. Morsy said. He demanded justice for the martyrs, adding that Egyptian borders are a red line and that Israel must understand that the people will stand side-by-side with the armed forces against any aggression on Egyptian territories.
