In a seminar held in Banha governorate, Dr Ayman Nour, founder of Al-Ghad Party and possible candidate for the presidency elections, warned of granting amnesty to the ousted President Mubarak, pointing out the various crimes he committed against Egypt and the Egyptians.

He stressed that Mubarak has looted the money of the Egyptians leaving them to suffer poverty, illnesses and loss of life while searching for a better life aboard.

Dr Nour stated that he was imprisoned for five years on fabricated charges of forging the papers of his party, so he wonders about the suitable punishment for someone who had been forging the will of people for 30 years.

He emphasized that the MB were the ones who suffered the most under the old regime along with a few others who also opposed the regime. “They were subject to arrest, deprived of their basic rights and accused of using the religion to gain power, which is not true,” Dr Nour said.

Dr Nour pointed out that the former regime has tarnished the image of those calling for reform and fighting against corruption.
