At a time when Egyptians are living in critical moments, suffering distress and are in the darkest circumstances because of the regime's repressive practices, and at a time when all Egyptians are expected to be united and give priority to the country's supreme interests, the Brothers have noticed that the Egyptian regime is violating the Constitution that provides that civilians are  tried before conventional judges and not before military and special courts such as the  Emergency State Security Courts which issues harsh sentences against innocent people.

Senior members of Egypt’s popular Muslim Brotherhood have been served harsh sentences based on a fabricated testimony made by a police officer against them and they cannot appeal against it, and this has been done in disregard of the constitutional and legal rights of Egyptians.

The Egyptian regime, depending on its strength, is exacerbating the magnitude of its political rivalry with a group of loyal Egyptian citizens who have made sacrifices for the country's safety. The MB believes that people are shocked to hear about such harsh judgments issued by a special court that does not practice litigation to any degree like the other regular courts.

What is even worse is that such verdicts were issued against those who stripped the Egyptians of their wealth, killed and displaced many thousands of those who sold Egypt's wealth and tarnished its reputation and status.

It is incumbent upon the regime to protect people from rampant corruption, conspiracies and plots hatched against them, and to preserve Egypt's national security and favour public interest over any other consideration, rather than persecuting reformers, confiscating their personal property and unfairly arresting innocent people.

The Muslim Brotherhood, the families of detainees and all Egyptians raise their complaint to Allah Almighty, supplicating to put an end to injustice and uproot oppressors and their supporters, convinced that Allah will respond to their supplication.

We are patient and determined to continue our approach for a comprehensive peaceful reform against corrupters and their associates that must be persecuted, regardless of the cost and if we have to sacrifice our blood. The group will not be deterred and will continue to peacefully fight for its cause, and defend people’s rights to freely choose their own representatives, even if injustice prevails.
