Administrative Court Looks into Annulling Rigged Parliament

The Supreme Administrative Court will examine on Tuesday a lawsuit filed by the former opposition and Muslim Brotherhood MPs and candidates in the recent parliamentary elections, and will appeal against the rigged parliament result. They demand to have the decisions annulled of the Higher Election Commission (HEC) on the announcement of results of the first round and the run-off as a result of legal and constitutional violations invalidating the parliament and its legitimacy.

Ahmed Abu Baraka, former member of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) parliamentary bloc, told Ikhwanweb that the decisions to declare the voting results in violation of court rulings to suspend its results in more than 92 constituencies are void.

"The HEC is committed to implementing court rulings to suspend the balloting and decisions of announcing its results in 92 districts," he said, making the current parliament void as it is violating court orders.

He added that the courts which overturned the decision to declare the voting results, regret the irregularities that were committed against the constitutional and legal procedures governing the nomination and the entire electoral process. The HEC is not committed to implement court decisions, resulting in legislative power that is contrary to the rule of the Constitution and legality.
