The Freedoms Committee at the Journalists Syndicate is organizing a protest on Saturday at 5pm in solidarity with the writer and journalist, Badr Mohamed Badr. Security forces raided Badr’s house during the election period and confiscated money and documents in the house.

The committee denounced these practices taken against a journalist that is well- known like Badr, only because his wife, Azza El-Garf, insisted on practicing her constitutional rights and run for the parliamentary elections which ended up being forged.

The committee called on all journalists to attend the demonstration to support the rights of Badr and freedom and to respect his rights especially as he suffers from health problems.
