The April 6 Movement called for a protest on Tuesday at the Press Syndicate on the occasion of the Hijri New Year (the Muslims Calendar), demanding the immediate release of the Copts who were detained during the tragic incidents at Omraneya Church. In a statement, the movement invites you all to show active solidarity with Christians who were arrested and shot by security forces using live ammunition.

The statement added that the ruling regime is the primary threat to Egyptian national unity because of the arbitrary arrests and murder of Muslims and Copts alike.
