Two little girls, aged 10 and 11, and an elderly woman were wounded south of Bethlehem city on Thursday morning when an armed Jewish settler from Tekoa settlement savagely threw stones at them.

Eyewitness said that the settler was heavily armed with weapons and cursed Arabs and Muslims.

Other local sources reported that a large number of Israeli troops and border guards stormed Al-Lawziya village in the city on the same day and clashed with school students there.

A number of students suffered tear gas suffocation and some of them fainted when the invading troops fired tear gas grenades and rubber bullets at them.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) also stormed at dawn Thursday Al-Shiyukh town, east of Al-Khalil city and kidnapped a university student called Ahmed Halaiqa from his home.

His family told the Palestinian information center (PIC) that a number of Israeli soldiers broke into and ransacked the house before taking its son to an unknown destination.

The family added that its son is majoring in Islamic law at Al-Quds university in Abu Dis town where he also lives and he came back on Wednesday to spend the weekend with his family.

The IOF had already kidnapped Halaiqa at the end of 2005 and sentenced him to 22 months in prison on a charge of his participation in student activities at the university and he has a brother in Israeli jails.

Bil'in village, near Ramallah city, was also raided Wednesday by the Israeli troops for the forth time in three days in an attempt to kidnap an anti-wall activist, but they did not find him in his home.

In a separate incident, the Israel army lately held meetings for its soldiers who serve in the West Bank and at Gaza borders in order to warn them of being kidnapped by Palestinian resistance fighters.

Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said the Israeli army held these meeting after it received intelligence information warning of Palestinian intentions to kidnap soldiers.
