ISTANBUL, The Turkish relief and humanitarian aid foundation IHH announced on Tuesday that a land aid convoy would leave India en route to Gaza Strip in early December.

The IHH, a non-governmental organization, said in a statement posted on its website that around 500 supporters would gather from various countries including Turkey in India to join the convoy.

It added that the convoy is slated to arrive in Gaza on 27/12 on the anniversary of the Israeli war on Gaza that was launched in December 2008.

The convoy would cross India, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, and Syria from where it would set sail to its final destination, the statement said.

The Istanbul-based foundation would cater for the convoy during its passage through Turkey.
