Al-Quds institution documents 34 excavation sites around Aqsa Mosque

BEIRUT, — Al-Quds international institution said in a yearly report that there are 34 Israeli excavation sites around the Aqsa Mosque for the building of tunnels, 21 are still active and the others were finished.

The report covers the Israeli violations against the Aqsa Mosque between august 22, 2009 and august 21, 2010 and provides a comprehensive picture of the dangers threatening it.

The report pointed out that 15 excavation sites are located south of the holy Mosque, 17 in the west and two others in the north.

The report also talked about the unprecedented and accelerating increase in building Jewish landmarks around the Aqsa Mosque, especially the opening of the ruin synagogue west of the Mosque and the plans to build two other synagogues, one in place of the Islamic museum inside the Mosque’s main courtyard and the other adjacent to one of its walls.

The report warned that this Israeli escalation against the Mosque means that its plans and projects inside and around it would be much bigger and more dangerous in the future.
