Jordan's main opposition group, The Muslim Brotherhood offshoot has maintained that it is still considering whether to take part in the upcoming parliamentary elections slated for next November.

The Islamic Action Front had asserted that the former elections were marred by irregularities which hindered the overall result of the number of seats secured by the group.

The elections which are due to be held according to a new election law  includes, punishment  warnings of up to seven years imprisonment  for illegal practices including vote buying which was according to the IAF one of the major irregularities during the last elections.

According to Jordan 's PM Samir Rifae the government will not be lenient in the application of the law.
