During the third session of the IUMS held in Istanbul, Sheikh Qaradawi said that having such a meeting in such a country reflects the Muslim scholars' support for Turkey's stands and their appreciation for its efforts in support of the Palestinian cause.

He also urged the Muslim scholars to encourage their nations not to fear facing their leaders with the truth and to make their religion above worldly affairs.

For his part, head of the IUMS branch in Gaza Sheikh Marwan Abu Ras started his speech paying tribute to great Turkish leaders who did great deeds to their Muslim nations including president Abdullah Gul and premier Recep Erdogan.

Sheikh Abu Ras also talked at length about the extremist Jewish rabbis and how they played a role in the establishment of Zionist institutions and Talmudic schools and in driving Israel's political, military and social trend.

He pointed to a number of rabbis' religious statement published by Haaretz newspaper in which they called for enforcing the rule of the Torah and kill everyone including children and women who hold hatred against Israel in their hearts.

In another context, the Palestinian international campaign to end Gaza siege said that Israel still refuses to release the belongings its soldiers stole a month ago from the Freedom Flotilla activists, especially the laptops, cameras, cell phones, credit cards and many personal documents.

The campaign warned in a press release that Israel would not hesitate to manipulate and forge the documents saved in laptops and cell phones.

It appealed to the international community and human rights organizations to intervene and pressure Israel to release all belongings taken from the activists and to take action to completely end the blockade on Gaza.
