Egypt: MB and independent MP’s to launch aid convoy to Gaza

A delegation of Egyptian parliamentarians comprised of political opposition including Muslim Brotherhood members and independents has organised a convoy to transport humanitarian assistance and relief to the Gaza Strip in solidarity with the besieged Palestinian people in Gaza

In a statement to “Ikhwanweb” MB MP Dr. Hazem Farouk, asserted that “The aid convoy to Gaza will begin tomorrow at noon in front of the People’s Assembly will include 4 trucks, loaded with goods.” He maintained that it was a symbolic gesture to assure the Palestinian people in Gaza and the world that the Egyptians fully
supported the Palestinian cause and continue to remember their suffering. Farouk was among other peace activists who were aboard the attacked Miva Marmara which was barbarically raided early last week by the Israeli military which resulted in 20 deaths and many injuries

The MP warned of any government attempts to thwart the Parliamentarians’ convoy to Gaza emphasizing that the convoy will not be deterred and will go to Gaza . He called on the regime to continue its initiative of opening the Rafah crossing indefinitely claiming that all of Egypt would like to see it permanently open
