The forthcoming television series written by Wahid Hamed, about Egypt 's largest popular opposition has struck controversy from many of the group's members, including the son of its founder Hassan al-Banna.

Despite allegations by Hamed that his script concentrates on the first and most influential 20 years in the life of the Brotherhood,  leaders, argue that incidents may trigger propaganda against them.  They opposed Hamed for not presenting the group a copy of the script or consulting MB leaders in order to verify historical facts.
Ahmed Seif el Islam al-Banna son of Hassan al-Banna, the blocs  founder argued that he "will not accept any production that deals with his father's life without verifying all the historical facts included", adding that he would sue the series producers for slander.
Analysts believe that Hamed's script might similarly defame the movement at a time where tension is already high because of the approaching parliament and presidential elections.
Brotherhood leader, Mohsen Radi ascertained that the production was endorsed by both the Ministers of information and culture in an attempt to tarnish the Brotherhood's reputation.
