RAMALLAH, A foreign activist and 15 Palestinians were wounded including one in a serious condition when Israeli occupation forces (IOF) used rubber bullets and teargas to disperse a peaceful march against the separation wall in Nabi Saleh village near Ramallah on Friday.

Locals said that the seriously injured Palestinian was hit with a rubber bullet over his eye that penetrated his head, adding that he was carried to a Ramallah hospital in view of his condition.

They added that IOF soldiers' shooting spree shattered the window glasses of many homes in the village.

Radio Israel said that an IOF soldier was hurt when a stone hit him in the village of Badars, also in Ramallah district, during similar confrontations.

In Bilin, tens of participants in the weekly march, which was organized despite the IOF order turning the village into a closed military zone every Friday, were treated for breathing difficulties due to the excessive use of teargas canisters on the part of the IOF troops.

Participants in the march hoisted Palestinian flags and anti-occupation slogans. The IOF soldiers fired stun grenades and rubber-coated bullets along with gas bombs at the marchers and chased them in olive groves.

Confrontations were also reported in Ma'sara village, Bethlehem district, when the demonstrators tried to remove barbed wire to reach their land isolated behind the separation wall. A foreign activist was injured in the incident.
