Dweik calls for urgent PLC session to discuss Israeli attacks

Dr. Aziz Al-Dweik, the speaker of the Palestinian legislative council (PLC), has called for an emergency session for the PLC to discuss the Israeli attacks on the Islamic holy shrines.

Dweik appealed to all parliamentary blocs to attend the session, which he proposed on Monday in both Gaza and the West Bank, in order to discuss the Israeli judaization of Jerusalem and the decision to annex the Ibrahimi and Bilal mosques to the list of Jewish historical sites.

The speaker announced a few days ago that he would call for a PLC session in early March at the request of one third of the members of the council, and asked Mahmoud Abbas, the Fatah leader whose term as PA chief expired over a year ago, to facilitate the session.
