Egypt: Teacher arrested in classroom
Egypt: Teacher arrested in classroom
A secondary school teacher was arrested in front of his colleagues and students in the Beheira governorate by state security on Sunday.
Monday, February 22,2010 14:17

Security apparatus barbarically entered the school premises searching for Adel Makram a teacher at the school, on the grounds that he belonged to the outlawed MB movement.

Teachers and students alike criticized the offensive arrest stressing that Makram was one of the schools most distinguished teachers and that the measures practiced by the forces was yet another example of the regimes violation of human rights in Egypt.

Sources revealed that Security had in fact been to Makram's house earlier during a pre-dawn raid which had taken place on February 4, resulting in 8 arrests however he was not present during the raid on his house.
