Highly ranked leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood faced arrest after attending the funeral of Mahmoud Shokry, one of the Movements pioneers in Alexandria.

Security forces raided the houses of the leaders in a pre-dawn barbaric campaign where they confiscated computers, books and personal belongings. The detainees include:

Ismail Alma'asry

Mohamed Ahmed Almasry

Labib Fadel

Hamama Ramadan

Magdy Megahed

Mohamed Sweidan

The arrests and invasion on the group comes as payback for attending an organizing the large funeral where more than 20 000 people attended to offer their condolences.
