Members of Miles of Smiles leave Gaza

GAZA– Members of the European aid convoy "Miles of Smiles" left the Gaza Strip at a late hour on Friday night after staying there for 48 hours.

The delegates toured a number of areas destroyed during the Israeli war on the Strip along with the Shifa hospital, the Palestinian legislative council and others during which they delivered the assistance material they brought with them from the European continent.

The convoy members brought with them 102 small trucks loaded with electric wheelchairs for children with special needs in addition to medical equipment and aid.

The convoy was delayed by the Egyptian authorities for almost a month before finally allowing it to enter the beleaguered Strip.
