DAMASCUS -- The Palestinian return center (PRC) has organized a visit by a European parliamentary delegation to Palestinian refugee camps in Syria followed by a meeting with president Bashar Al-Assad over conditions of those refugees.

The PRC said that the delegates toured refugee camps south of Damascus and the Tanaf camp pitched in the desert on the Iraqi-Syrian borders and the tragic conditions in this camp especially with the advent of winter.

It added that the delegates discussed with Assad conditions of those refugees and means of alleviating their suffering.

One of the delegates said that the meeting with the president was "constructive and positive", adding that Assad expressed readiness to help in alleviating the suffering of those refugees.
