The clampdown series on the Muslim Brotherhood students continues with the referral of 11 Azharstudents from the committee "students' movement against electoral rigging" for interrogation.

The clampdown series on the Muslim Brotherhood students continues with the referral of 11 Azharstudents from the committee "students' movement against electoral rigging" for interrogation. Spokesperson for the movement and former student council member Mohamed Abdul Aziz was given a month's expulsion as punishment for voicing his opinion and organizing a rally in front of the University's main administration building. The commerce student had called for free and fair student body elections in light of the unjust measures elections were currently held.

 

The organized rally called for the ending of intervention by state security demanding transparent elections through ballots under the supervision of the University's staff members. Banners were lifted insisting on these rights of freedom

of expression.

 

 

Related, 12 students were submitted for interrogation by the Sohag's university administration and accused of supporting solidarity with al-Aqsa mosque along with promoting students against passiveness. The students were from different faculties including 6 medical students, 4 commerce students and 2 students from the Faculty of arts.
