The Parliament Accuses Ministry of Education of Increasing Unemployment rates

Dr. Farid Ismalil, member of the MB Parliamentary bloc and Mp of Faqous constituency, denounced the arbitrary measures the Ministry of Education takes as it unjustly suspended a number of teachers who have working contracts.

In an urgent question aimed at the Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Nazif and Dr. Yosry Elgamal Minister of Education, the MP stressed that such decisions lead to increasing the unemployment rates in Egypt.

The Education Department’s resolution No. 4127/b/4 of 26 August 2009 which provided the breach of contracts of 4 teachers under the pretext of security measures was considered by Dr. Ismail as a real setback, crime against education, flagrant violation of the rights of teachers and unlawful distinction and he asked “what is the reason behind the suspension of each; Fatima Al-Zahraa Abdel Mohsen Abdel Ati, Inas Ali Mohamed, Sherine Mostafa Gad and Wafaa Beder Mohamed Ahmed who enjoy a fine ethical and educational reputation and are of the most qualified teachers??

He wondered about the terms, conditions and principles to which the Ministry follows in recruiting teachers and wondered why does the ministry follow the approach of excluding role model teachers and for whose interest is this happening?
