Cairo Court of Appeal Decided to Suspend Three Doctors

A Cairo Court led by Chancellor Nabil Morqos decided to suspend three doctors from work for one year. The doctors were responsible for the death of a woman who had a caesarian performed in an unsuitable clinic.

Dr. Essam Alaryan, Treasurer of the Medical Union in Cairo, stated that the doctors requested a review of their case where it was alleged that the "correct decision was made in performing the caesarean operation however the clinic wasn’t properly equipped for emergencies."

Dr. Alaryan called for the doctors to respond to the Ethics Committee headed by Dr Abdul Monem Al Barbary which received a filed complaint against the three doctors in Monofeya by the victims widow Elsayed Yosry Atallah.
