New parliamentary accusations of the government on premeditated murder of citizens

The Muslim Brotherhood MP Dr. Farid Ismail, member of the Health Committee in the Parliament, accused the government of the endangering of and premeditated murder of citizens

In an urgent question aimed at Dr. Ahmed Nazif, Prime Minister, and Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, he emphasized that dozens of agricultural acres in different governorates are being irrigated with sewage, especially in the Sharqeya governorate asking what steps were taken to protect people.

He stressed "Unfortunately, despite the statements and warnings in governmental, partisan and independent newspapers by competent ministers, the non-purified sewage is still being used to irrigate the lands on the two sides of Bahr Elbaqar’s bank in Faqous, Huseineya, San El-Hagar and many other areas in the Sharqyea governorate. These lands are known to be of the most fertile and best agricultural lands of the country.

He added "unfortunately, in the light of the NDP government incompetence to provide even the minimum standards of life for citizens or to provide hygienic Nile water for irrigation, the government has resorted to setting up stations to use the sewage in the irrigation of many agricultural crops, among it including rice, wheat, corn, and fruits, especially in Bahr El-Baqar area.
